About Us
Brown Bowen and Company
Who we are
There’s a season for building and a season for being present enough to enjoy what you’ve built.
For a long time, so much of Brown Bowen lived in the design process… the fabrics, the samples, markets, the constant refining, and being tied to a strict seasonal calendar for every collection released. While I’ve loved every bit of that, this stage of life looks a little different. My children are growing up quickly and I don’t want to miss this time with my family.
Anna is headed off to college this fall and the word pivoting has been on my heart and mind for the last several months. Not quitting. Sometimes that means changing directions. Sometimes that means adjusting. Sometimes that means refining. And sometimes… it means knowing when to shift, not away from who we are, but deeper into it, all while staying true to the essence of our brand.
So that’s exactly what we’re doing. We’re pivoting.
Not away from Brown Bowen, but into something that allows more space for what matters most right now. We’re bringing in some of our favorite brands that compliment Brown Bowen pieces that you’ve loved over the last eight years, pieces that we already love, wear, and believe in!! We’re curating a collection that feels just as intentional, just a little lighter load for me right now. Don’t worry, we’ll still be manufacturing boys and mens pieces, and maybe even a few surprises sprinkled along the way.
Here’s where the magic happens…my girls get to do it with me!!
They’re stepping into this world alongside me and helping choose the best pieces, the best collections, the best brands, and to shape what Brown Bowen looks like in this next chapter. We’re not stepping away from designing, just pausing for a minute to enjoy this stage of life right now. It feels less like work and more like something we’re building together. The best part…we’re just getting started!!
Same heart. New adventures. And a season we’re really excited to be in— together!!
Cheers!!
Lauren
