Tybee Tartan- Background, Collaborations and Beyond
Like the sweet taste of eggnog and the smell of a Fraser fir, Tybee Tartan has quickly become an iconic part of the holidays. The festive pattern is in its 3rd year at Brown Bowen and Company. What started as pants for boys has grown to include items for men, women, boys and girls. Additionally, this year we have partnered with Garland Bags and Eva's House to create signature, small batch, accessories that feature our festive plaid. Now, let's explore the Tartan fabric and the exciting new pieces in the collection.
Tybee Tartan is custom woven in limited runs for Brown Bowen and Company using American long staple cotton. Long staple cotton is excellent for its durability and resistance to fading over time. The color hues were specifically chosen to match our corduroy pieces, shirts and select Gentleman Jackets (Tartan, Moleskine, Velvet and Navy). For example, the Seagrass Green shirt coordinates with the Tartan fabric for those that may not find a bold Tartan as appealing. We love seeing how customers have mixed and matched for holiday pictures.
For those that have not heard, Brown Bowen and Company has partnered with Garland Bags to offer a limited amount of Tybee Tartan clutches!!! Lindsay Thomas, of Garland Bags, is an incredibly creative designer that constructs beautiful clutch purses using high-end fabrics. We could not be more delighted to have our fabric incorporated into a purse with the likes of Scalamandre and Schumacher. The gold bow over the clasp and the Brown Bowen logo button on the back are perfect details to finish this eye-catching statement piece. The Tybee Tartan Garland Bag is stunning as a coordinating accessory to our ladies' pieces or as a standalone clutch to add festive spirit to any ensemble.
In addition to the Garland Bags, we are thrilled to introduce headbands from Eva's House!!! Eva is based in Geneva, Switzerland, and produces exquisite hair accessories. Only thread is used to construct these works of art. Eva's House does not use glue or staples when producing her high-quality pieces. Her style and desire for quality products made Eva's House a natural partner for Brown Bowen and Company. We are delighted with the resulting headbands, for girls and women. We cannot wait to see how these fun pieces are incorporated into your holiday moments this season.
We could not be more proud of the collaborations with Garland Bags and Eva's House. Tybee Tartan, like Brown Bowen and Company, continues to evolve.
